Derek joined DeFranco Financial in 2025, bringing with him over a decade of experience in banking and financial services. He holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio University and has built a career centered on delivering personalized financial guidance to individuals, families, and businesses.
Derek began his financial career at JP Morgan Chase, where he served for 14 years as a banker and branch manager. During his tenure, he led one of the area’s largest branches and collaborated closely with investment and lending partners to deliver tailored solutions to complex financial needs. He later served as a Retail Banking Executive at Unified Bank, where he oversaw multiple branch teams, supported business and commercial clients, and played a key role in community outreach and engagement initiatives.
A strong believer in service—both professionally and personally—Derek is deeply committed to the well-being of his clients and the community. He and his wife, Amanda, live in Shadyside, Ohio, with their three children. Together, they are active in their local schools, youth sports, and community programs.
