At DeFranco Financial, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional financial guidance with a personal touch. Today, we’re excited to introduce our newest Financial Advisor: Derek Simpson.
Derek, a graduate of Ohio University, brings nearly twenty years of experience in banking and financial services. He began his career at JP Morgan Chase in 2008 and quickly advanced through several leadership roles. By 2015, Derek was promoted to Branch Manager of the Shadyside, OH office. He soon went on to manage Chase's larger branch office downtown in Wheeling, WV. In 2018, he assumed leadership of the Bae Mar office on National Road in Wheeling, WV.
In 2022, Derek joined Unified Bank as a Retail Banking Executive. There, he oversaw multiple branches and played a key role in lending operations, relationship management, and asset growth. He was also actively involved in the bank's community engagement initiatives. Derek is deeply committed to community involvement, recognizing the vital role financial institutions play in supporting and strengthening the communities they serve.
Outside of his professional life, Derek lives in Shadyside with his wife, Amanda, and their three children: Kendyl, Keegan, and Kyler. He maintains an active presence in the community, particularly in youth sports, where he dedicates his time and energy to coaching and supporting local teams. His commitment to family and community mirrors our values at DeFranco Financial.
